Help - Renaming IDs

This function allows you to rename the ID of a text label- or a hidden node/branch data-column. (Note that this is a different operation that assigning a different ID to a label where only this single label is moved to another column.)

The dialog
You can access the "Rename ID"-dialog by selecting "Edit" → "Node/branch data" → "Rename data ID..."-option from the main menu.
First select the ID to be renamed from the list and than enter the new ID you want to specify and click Rename. You can now repeat this steps if you want to rename other IDs too. After you have finished all renaming operations click OK. (Note that all renaming operations are not applied before you click OK or Apply.) You can alternatively click Cancel to discard all changes.
