Help - Scaling distance values

From TreeGraph help

TreeGraph allows to rescale all kinds of distance values (e.g. line width or font height) in a subtree. This function can be useful if you have big tree and only a part of it shall be shown in detail (e.g. on slide). You can also use this function to rescale the whole document.

Note that this function was not available before version 2.0.24.

The dialog

The "Scale distance values"-dialog

You can access the Scale distance values-dialog by selecting "Scale distance values..." from the format menu or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F8.

Scale factor

The factor that shall be used to rescale the selected format values (any floating point number).

Target

In this list you can select which distance value formats in the subtree under the selected node or branch shall be rescaled.

Example

Unedited version of a tree that is to large to be displayed on a single slide. [Download XTG]
Edited version of a tree where the subtree in the upper half has been scaled to 20 % which can be used on the first slide to show only the lower half of the tree. [Download XTG]
Edited version of a tree where the three subtrees lower have has been scaled to 20 % swhich can be used on the second slide to show only the upper half of the tree. [Download XTG]
